Jaswantnagar is a town and Nagar Palika Parishad in Jaswantnagar Block Jaswantnagar Tehsil in Etawah District of Uttar Pradesh. The Jaswantnagar Nagar Palika Parishad has population of 28,164 as per report released by Census India 2011. .
It is on the road from Agra to Etawah, about 16 km north-west of Etawah. Jaswantnagar covers an area of 2.59 sq km of land and has a population of 11,295. It is one of the trading hubs of western Uttar Pradesh and a leading center of handloom cloth.
To the west of the town, on the south side of the Agra road is a small temple of historical importance. It was here that on 19th May, 1857, a battle took place between the Indian freedom fighters and the British forces. Another attraction in the town is a fine masonry tank with a temple and bathing ghats, towards the south-east corner of the town, on the bank of the Sirsa River.
Jaswantnagar Railway Station falls on the Delhi-Mughal Sarai main line. Jaswantnagar Bus Station connects the town with Bhadan, Barnahal, Kachaura, Etawah, Kurra Jarawan and Udi. Nearest airport is Agra Civil Enclaves
